Mondo’s Featured Facebook Friend: Stina Scott

977468_10153085840505235_1351122507_oI love Facebook!  It gives me a chance to meet friends from all over the U.S. and around the world.  And there’s no feeling quite like the one I get when I see happy customers showing off their mondoguerra.com designs.

For National Hot Dog Day 2013, Facebook friend Stina Scott invited us to her BBQ with this fabulously fun photo of her Hottie Dog tee.  I ADORE everything about this picture.  That hair!  Those glasses!  That printed skirt!  And of course, I LOVE that necklace.

I just HAD to share Stina’s style with the rest of my Facebook friends.  Turns out, she’s a fellow creative who turns her love of retro and horror pop culture into awesome accessories.

Team Mondo caught up with Stina to learn about her life and inspirations:

Team Mondo:  Age?  Location?  Zodiac sign?

TM:  Any pets?  Children?  Ungrateful spouse/significant other?

SS
:  No pets.  Four children:  Dorian Gray (2), Lumi Dooms (4), Lydia Violet (5), and Lily Munster (15); Spouse: Graham, the boy of my dreams. I love him with all my heart, soul and guts.

TM
:  How do you express your creativity?

SS
: I create retro, pop culture and cinema themed jewelry for my online shop called “Everyday Is Like Halloween.”  The 3D glasses necklace I’m wearing in the photo was created by me to wear with the hot dog outfit.  My creativity is also expressed though fashion.
I recently have started a blog called “Fatshion Peepshow.”  My tag is “Do the creep and take a peep at my psycho body positive fatshions.”  I aim to inspire other plus-size women to step out of the Delta Burk and into something fresh and forward. Fashion at any size can be marvelous and inspiring.
TM:  Favorite Mondo design of all time?

SS
:  Like Everything!!! I am totally loving the Da Bomb jacket from the Haute Dog Summer collection. It reminds me of the Dickie Dee man in the 80’s.

TM
:  Any words of wisdom?

SS
:  “Don’t dream it, BE IT.”  –Frank N Furter

TM
:  Any words for Mondo?

SS
:  I will spare you the Bette Midler ballad but I think you’re totally the bomb-diggity. Thanks for being so awesome and sharing my photo. I always love seeing the new things you have to offer and trying to perfect a style around them. Thanks for making your T’s in larger sizes. Now I Just need that da bomb jacket and hot dog dress in my size. They are fantastically fun.

TM
:  Where can we learn more about you?

SS
