All Star Rewind—with Yolanda McCarthy: Episode #9

March 4, 2012—Denver, CO—Welcome back, Project Runway friends to another edition of All Stars Rewind!  There are 9 episodes behind us and only 3 left to go.  We’re one week closer to finding out who claims the title of the Ultimate All Star!

This week, the designers’ were faced with one of the most unique challenges in Project Runway history – they were challenged to create an avant-garde look using lighting technology!

In the spirit of the challenge, Beauty Bar Denver, as well as the crowd was lit up in a neon motif.   The crowd was adorned with glow in in the dark necklaces, bracelets, glow sticks and even glow in the dark lipgloss!  As always, the crowd enjoyed refreshments from our regular sponsors; popchips and vitaminwater and the special guest sponsor for the week was jewelry from Stella and Dot.

As in the previous weeks’ viewing parties, there were great give-aways during the show’s commercial breaks.    A few lucky crowd members won some great Mondo merchandise and one very lucky person won a beautiful necklace from Stella and Dot.

The crowd had a great time watching the competition and all were disappointed that Mondo’s creative and innovative design did not take home another win; however, it was still a fun challenge!

Make sure and join us next week at Beauty Bar Denver and show your support for Mondo!  Mondo will be traveling outside of Denver during March 08, but will be back at the Beauty Bar on March 15 with special guest and Project Runway season 9 designer, Bert Keeter.

Bring your friends and meet new ones at Mondo’s All Star Thursdays!

See you next week!

Your girl,

Yolanda McCarthy
