September 30, 2013, Southfield, MI – SEE, the country’s first “hip without the rip” fashion eyewear boutique will debut its collaboration with Denver based designer Mondo Guerra, winner of Lifetime’s Project Runway: All Stars, in all stores on October 15, 2013. Designed by Mondo, SEE will unveil the exclusive collection of eyewear that will be sold in its 31 locations nationwide. A portion of all sales from “Mondo by SEE” eyeglasses and sunglasses will be donated to amfAR, an international organization that has spent the past 27 years dedicated to research to end the global AIDS epidemic.

Making an Exception for Mondo

“Although SEE is our own brand and is exclusively sold in our stores, there was no hesitation when this opportunity presented itself. Mondo has been a loyal SEE customer for several years, and I was honored and flattered that such a strong up and coming design sensation was so enamored with the SEE brand,” stated SEE Founder and CEO, Richard Golden. “When Mondo approached us about designing a collection for SEE I was excited and proud to be able to make an exception to the rule of exclusively creating our own product for our stores in order to collaborate on a project that would raise funds for such a worthy charity.”

Mondo added, “I’m constantly asked where I get my amazing eyewear and I’m always happy to tell them to visit my friends at SEE.  Not only do they have the freshest designs, their customer service is the best in the business.  That’s why I own more than a dozen frames–I’m hooked!  I’m so excited to be designing for SEE.”

A Portion of All “Mondo for SEE” Eyewear to be Donated to amfAR

“Our company’s values include making a difference in our communities and raising money for charities that are near and dear to us. SEE has sponsored the AIDS Walk Detroit for the past 10 years, and have always supported HIV/AIDS Awareness campaigns nationally. Working with Mondo to create an exciting and original collection for SEE while donating a portion of all sales from the collection to amfAR is a dream come true for us,” added Golden.

“It is an honor to contribute to amfAR.  Their service on behalf of those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS is an inspiration and I’m thrilled that SEE and I can help support their mission,” stated Mondo.
